Theresia (Terii) Hoffman Yerington, 51, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017.
Terii was born on March 13, 1966 in Lakewood, CA to Josef and Barbara (Evans) Hoffman. Growing up, Terii was a tomboy just as much as she was a princess, enjoying getting her knees dirty while wearing flowers in her hair. Terii had the biggest heart and would do for anyone anytime. Terii bossed us, and we loved it! She was a sassy free spirited social butterfly. She enjoyed music, cooking, art, painting, bubbles, sandcastles, and laughter. Terii was a mother to all, she touched everyone’s heart. All who met her, hear her name and smile.
She was working towards her bachelors at Grand Canyon University studying psychology. She was a member of the American Legion, Twin City Players, and runner up for Miss Teen Michigan in 1977.
Terii is survived by her parents, Josef & Barbara Hoffman of Stevensville; husband, Dennis Yerington, Sr.; Edward Wayne Yerington, Michael Wayne Yerington; grandchildren, Stone, Olivia, Christopher & Samantha Yerington; sisters, Kristina (Todd) Hill, Nicola (Robert) Symonds, Karen (Scott) Goodrich; niece & nephews, Josef (Michele Briney) Hill, Nicholas & Bobby Symonds and Kili & Scotty Goodrich; great-nieces, Alexis Pendergrass & Aaliyah Hill and her little dog, Fubar too.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dennis Wayne Yerington, Jr., Hope Annette Yerington. And, so many other friends and family that she loved dearly.
Service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 1:00pm at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 11:00-1:00 before the service.
