Naomi B. Coburn, 85, of Covert, MI passed away on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 surrounded by those who loved her. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI
Naomi was born on April 25, 1932 in Batesville, Arkansas to the late B.W. and Fannie (Watkins) Roy. On Feb. 11, 1948 in Leachville, Arkansas she married Winford “Wink” Coburn; he preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 2001. Naomi loved the outdoors, gardening, canning and wasn’t afraid of a challenge. She was her family’s biggest fan, and was always there to support them. She was strength, she was love, she was comfort. She was Sunday dinners, Easter egg hunts, bonfires and sleepovers……….she was everyone’s grandma.
Naomi is survived by her children – Quete (Louie) Miller, Patty (Bob) Zinkil, Stacie Coburn and Barry (Angie) Coburn; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents-B.W. and Fannie, her husband-Wink, a son-Gary as well as her siblings Bill and Dean.
A private service will be held with Naomi’s final resting place being at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma, MI.
