Katherine Monnetta Howell, 69, of Niles, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 17, 2017.
Katherine was born on April 13, 1948, to the late Francis and Betty Raggio in Vicksburg, Michigan. After graduating from high school, Katherine went on to earn her LPN. On September 27, 1986, Katherine wed David Howell in Vicksburg. In her free time, Katherine loved to garden and especially enjoyed her lilies. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach, fishing, listening to music from the 60’s, watching old movies and science fiction.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, LeRoy Ross.
Katherine is survived by her husband of nearly 31 years, David Howell; children, Stephanie (James) Eskut of Lyons, Kansas, Jeffrey Yeomans of Niles, and Jason (Darla) Yeomans of Niles; David’s children, Mark Howell of Texas, Michael Howell of Kentucky, Shannon Phillips of Texas and Melissa Howell of Texas; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Millard (Pam) Ross of Richland, Michigan and Frances Sehy of Michigan.
Katherine’s family will be hosting a memorial dinner and celebration of her life on Friday, September 22, 2017, at First Church of Christ located at 2240 Yankee Street in Niles beginning at 11:45 a.m. with a luncheon to follow at the church
Katherine had a great love for animals; those wishing to make a memorial donation in Katherine’s memory may do so to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan.
