Albert “Bud” Peter Rybarczyk, 22, passed away while serving his country.
Bud was born on March 27, 1927, to Albert & Sophie Rybarczyk in Chicago, IL. Bud graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School, St. Joseph, (now Lake Michigan Catholic). Bud was very active and loved sports, especially playing football, basketball and running track. He was employed at Clark Equipment in Buchanan before enlisting in the Navy in January of 1942.
Bud was ranked as a second class, U.S. N. R. He was overseas for four months before his plane crashed in to the Pacific due to the ramification of a bombing mission. He was reported missing in action on September 8, 1944.
Bud is survived by his sister Sr. Mary Ann Rybarczyk O.P.; nieces Cindy Gray and Mary Alice Boone; nephews John Rybarczyk, Joseph Rybarczyk and Jim Warskow; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bud has been joined in Heaven by his parents; sister Theresa Warskow; brother Norbert Rybarczyk.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017, at 1 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Church St., St. Joseph, with V. Rev. Robert Creagan officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, December 10, 2017, from 2 PM until 5 PM, a prayer service will be held at 5 PM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph.
