Robert Judson Flick, Jr., age 60, of Three Oaks, went peacefully home to be with our Lord, Wednesday, May 2, 2018 while surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born Friday, December 6, 1957 in Michigan City, Indiana to Robert and Merlyn (Wallsten) Flick, Sr. He married Linda Uebler on September 17, 1977 in Three Oaks. Bob was preceded in death by his father; and his in-laws Don and Louise Uebler.
Bob loved the outdoors and hunting with his son; being a true outdoorsman. He loved nothing more than enjoying a campfire with his family. Bob was always the “go-to guy” in his family, ready with the answers about a variety of topics. May it be wildlife to mechanics, he always knew. Known as an honest, loyal, and hardworking man, Bob carried this into his personal life and career.
His love of being outdoors led him to start up his 4 Seasons Lawn Care business. The business thrived due to his organizational skills, keen eye, and caring for his customer’s property as he would his own. Bob’s customers came to think of him as a friend, rather than an employee. They trusted him and knew they could depend on him to always go above and beyond.
Bob will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by the love of his life, wife Linda Flick of Three Oaks; son Jason Robert (Melissa) Flick of Buchanan; daughter Jennifer Lin (Shawn) Gedert of Niles; grandchildren: Austin and Isabella; mother Merlyn and step-father Jim Wisner of Three Oaks; sisters Joanie (Mike) Davidson of Three Oaks and Sandie (Ron Jr.) Schmidt of Three Oaks; brother-in-law Chris Uebler of Florida; sister-in-law Vicki (Bobby) Looney of New Buffalo; step-siblings Kurt Wisner, Ken Wisner, and Nancy Luukkonen; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends will gather Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pobocik Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 106 Ash Street East, Three Oaks, Michigan, 49128. A funeral service will take place Monday, May 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Three Oaks United Methodist Church, 2 Sycamore Street, Three Oaks, Michigan, 49128 with Pastor Rich Zeiger officiating.
Bob will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Three Oaks Township.
The family prefers contributions be made in Bob’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Three Oaks United Methodist Church.
