Michael Williams of Benton Harbor, transitioned on May 6, 2018 at home surrounded by family and friends.
Michael Andra Williams was born on July 21, 1963 in Memphis Tennessee to the union of the Late Elder Fred Williams Jr. and Alvern Williams. He was the oldest of (5) five children. Michael along with his parents moved to Benton Harbor, Michigan when he was a toddler and resided in Benton Harbor until God called him home on May 6, 2018. He attended Benton Harbor High School and was with the graduating class of 1981. Michael was a machine operator, a truck driver and a transportation driver for Berrien County. He was the “NEIGHBORHOOD MECHANIC” and wore a hat of many other talents. Michael attended Latter Day Worship Church Of God In Christ under the leadership of Pastor Bryan O. Williams Sr. when was physically able.
Michael was also know as “DaDa” to his children “Slick Rick” and “Uncle Michael” to his nieces and nephews and “Mike to his family and friends.
Michael leaves to cherish his memories: one son: Michael Williams Campbell a.k.a. “junior,” one daughter: Makyla Williams Campbell a.k.a. “mommy,” a loving mother: Mrs. Alvern Williams of Benton Harbor, Michigan; one brother: Pastor Bryan (Roshanna) Williams of Benton Harbor, Michigan; two sisters: Sharon (Samuel) Campbell of Benton Harbor, Michigan and Beverly (Ted) Rivers of Detroit, Michigan. Four Uncles, Six Aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father: Elder Fred Williams jr., one brother: Keith E. Williams, both maternal and paternal grandparents, Four uncles, three aunts, and one cousin.
Family and Friends, when you remember me, please don’t weep. My body may not be there, it has chosen to sleep.
