Patricia (Pat) A. Fister, 81, of St. Joseph, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 2, 2018 surrounded by her family at Hanson Hospice Center after a sudden illness.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at St. Joseph First United Methodist Church, 2950 Lakeview Ave. St. Joseph, officiated by Rev. Daniel Colthorp. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph.
Pat was born on April 19, 1937 in St. Joseph to Leo & Celia (Mollhagen) Beardsley. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1955. On November 24, 1955, she married David P. Fister (deceased 2000) in St. Joseph. Pat was involved in her church and enjoyed serving as a volunteer for many organizations in the Twin Cities throughout her life. She was a homemaker and loved traveling with her husband. Above all, Pat enjoyed caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly (David) Gould of Benton Harbor, Pamela (Gerald) Anton of Niles; son Peter (Wendy) Fister of St. Joseph; grandchildren Amy (Dave) Lueders, Bobby Anton, Patty Anton, Kadey Fister, Corey Fister; great-grandchildren Harper, Mason, and Grayson.
