Debra Dudeck, 53, of Three Oaks, died peacefully, Sunday, November 11, 2018, at the University of Michigan Medical Center in the presence of her family.
Deb was born April 8, 1965 in Michigan City, Indiana to Norman and Jeanne (Dziepak) Dudeck.
Deb was proud to be the first female firefighter in St. Joseph City. She enjoyed cooking and was always ready to feed her family and friends as well as outdoor wildlife. She loved animals, especially her dog Mr. Bentley, and took pleasure in helping out the animal shelter. Deb held her friends very close to her heart.
Deb will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her father Norman Dudeck of Three Oaks; brother Dave (Debby) Dudeck of Laporte; boyfriend Norbert Patrautzky of Three Oaks and his daughter Emma Patrautzky of New Buffalo; nephew Phillip Dudeck of Laporte; fur-baby Mr. Bentley; many aunts; uncles; cousins; and a strong community of friends. Deb was preceded in death by her mother Jeanne Dudeck and her grandparents.
Family and friends will gather Friday, November 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 28 West Ash Street, Three Oaks, Michigan 49128.
The Reverend Vanathaiyan Savarimuthu, MSFS will be officiating.
Deb’s remains will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery next to her mother.
The family prefers contributions be made in Deb’s memory to Berrien County Animal Control, 1400 South Euclid Avenue, Benton Harbor, Michigan 49022.
