Daniel “Danny” Winans, 60, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at Spectrum Lakeland Hospital- St. Joseph.
A Celebration on Life Service will be held at 3 PM, Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph. Friends may visit from 2 PM until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Wayne Winans. Danny was born on January 14, 1959 in Watervliet, MI to Eugene & Mary Jo (Dienes) Winans. He was a graduate of Hartford High School class of 1977. Danny worked at Watervliet Paper Mill from 1978 until 1994. Most recently he worked at Amhawk in Coloma. He enjoyed following Watervliet Sports and University of Michigan football. Danny loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter Analyse Winans of Chicago, IL; son Jordan (Maggie) Winans of Guyton, GA; grandchildren, Jaylen, Jackson and Mayzie; siblings, Wayne Winans of Hartford, Julie Zucker of Boulder, CO, Greg (Linda) Winans of Benton Harbor and Patrick (Amy) Winans of St. Joseph; numerous nieces and nephews and best friend Kurt Birmele. He was preceded in death by his parents.
