Christine Louise Strain, 49, of Stevensville, went to meet her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the First Church of God, 2627 Niles Ave., St. Joseph, with Rev. William Shepard officiating. Friends may visit with the Family from 6:00 -8:00 P.M. Friday, November 20, also at the Church. Masks & Social Distancing will be required for both visitation & services. Christine was born November 20, 1970 in South Haven, to Charles & Joyce (Kollak) Timm. She graduated from L.C. Mohr High School in South Haven, Class of 1988, and from the University of Michigan in 1993 with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. On January 10, 1997 she married Jeffery B. Strain in Maui. Christine was employed for the last twenty-eight years at Whirlpool Corporation, currently as a Structural Engineer. She was a member of the First Church of God, St. Joseph, where she was active in the Children’s Ministries, and a member of the Society of Women Engineers. In her free time, Christine enjoyed sailing with her family.
Christine is survived by her husband Jeff; her son Nathan of Stevensville; her mother Joyce Timm of Portage, MI, her mother-in-law Wilma Strain of Coloma, her sister Susan (Rick) Zuiderveen of Mattawan, MI, and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her son Lukas on October 8, 2020, her father Charles Timm, and her father-in-law Loyd Strain.
