Wendell Clark Hill, Jr., 65, of Benton Harbor, passed away, Saturday, March 11, 2023 at his home.

Wendell was born August 20, 1957 in Benton Harbor to Wendell Sr. & Paula (Booth) Hill.  He graduated from Lake Michigan Catholic High School, Class of 1975.  Wendell owned and operated his own painting business, and was simply know as Wendell the Painter.  He was very talented & knowledgeable about everything paint related.  If a question ever arose, the paint stores would say, “call Wendell.”

Wendell cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was very talented, not only about painting, but also mechanics, building, remodeling and fixing.  In his free time, Wendell enjoyed listening to Willie Nelson music, watching and feeding the wildlife around his property, and following the NHRA drag racing circuit.

Wendell is survived by his children-Leanne (David) Demski, Kristopher Hill; four grandchildren-Emilee, Jenna, Megan, & Jacob Demski; his former wife Kathrine Hill; his mother Paula Warkentien; two brothers-Patrick (Kara) Hill & Steven Hill; and his nieces & nephew-Kristen (Nate) Torrech, Ava Grace & PJ Hill.  Wendell was preceded in death by his father Wendell, Sr. & his step-father Charles Warkentien.
