On April 8, 2023, John Linwood Wallace 73 of Hagar Township, was called home to be with the Lord.  His family was by his side as he made this peaceful transition.

Per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s memory to Hope for the Warriors Foundation or Michigan Concerns of Police Survivor’s Foundation.

John was born November 26, 1949 to Gladys (Sheets) Noack and John Wallace in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

John was in the army, 82nd Airborne Division and served during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1970, when he was honorably discharged.  John was a carpenter by trade.  He was strong in his Christian faith and regularly attended Midway Baptist Church in Watervliet.  John enjoyed playing the bass guitar and collecting antiques with his son.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

John is survived by his son, Phillip (Brandy) Kennedy of Coloma and two grandchildren, Matthew and Ashley Kennedy.

John was preceded in death by his father John Wallace; mother Gladys Noack; step-father Harold Noack and brother William “Billy” Anderson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Duffield & Pastrick Funeral Home, Coloma.

CREMATION HAS TAKEN PLACE. NO SERVICES ARE PLANNED.
