Matthew L. Haycox, 24, of Benton Harbor passed away April 12, 2023 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St Joseph.
Matthew was born November 16, 1998 in Smithville, Tennessee to Matthew J. and Darcy (Beilman) Haycox. He was employed by Dicastal in Coloma and was formerly employed by Berrien County Animal Control.
Even at a young age he was always a character. Playing Scattergories with his mom he told her an animal that started the letter M was a Morangutan. He truly loved his family and spending time with his kids. In his free time he practiced taekwondo and fighting techniques but he also had a softer side where he enjoyed reading, fishing, growing a garden, playing at the arcade, and going on movie dates with his lovely wife Leeza, 59 to be exact.
Matthew is survived by his wife Leeza, three children; Kaydence, Serenity, and Matthew Haycox, his mother, Darcy Haycox, and father, Matthew J. Haycox. Also surviving are two brothers; Allen and Cody Haycox, and two sisters; Ann Aaron, and Leah Wilson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home, Coloma.
