On November 23, 2023, Corinne King was called home at the age of 98 years young.
Corinne was born on June 16, 1925 along with her twin sister Lorinne in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Wilbur and Lily Cary.
Corinne graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1943. Her career at Whirlpool began in 1962, where she worked her way up from secretary to cash administrator. Corinne retired in 1986 after 24 years of faithful service.
Her past activities included: St. Joseph Yacht Club, Sweet Adelines, American Legion Auxiliary, main fund raiser for the Legion in Harlingen, Texas, and Whirlpool Old Times. Corinne loved playing cards, crocheting for veterans and babies, working with numbers, enjoying friends, and her beloved dog and cat.
Corinnes greatest source of pride was her beloved children, Janine (Ken) Kruck, David (Laurie) Lawrence, and Patricia Garrison. Her greatest source of joy was her grandchildren, Daniel (Allison) Kruck, Chelsea (Brian) Carlson, Kate (Kevin) Murphy, Cary Garrison, and Michael Garrison and “great-grands” Millie, Nolan, Ronan, and Darrah.
Corinne touched so many lives with her honesty, warmth, and sense of humor. Her mind was sharp to the very end.
