William John Bartak, 75, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 in Niles, Michigan.

Bill was born June 14, 1948 in Niles, Michigan to the late William Robert Bartak and Norma Jean (Vanlue) Bartak.

Left to cherish the memory of Bill are his brothers, Edward (Cheryl) Bartak and Timothy (Debbie) Bartak. Nieces and nephews, April (Troy) Meek, Nikki (Derrik) Bates, Rebecca (Jon) Medlin. Great nieces and nephews, Brendon, Kylie, Ava, Delainey, Brayden, Brayden, Bree, Braxton. Great-great nephew Taysom.

A pillar in his church community, Bill dedicated countless hours to fellowship and service, embodying the spirit of love and charity that he so firmly believed in. Bill completed The Stephen Minister Training as another way to help others.

An avid outdoorsman, Bill found joy in the simplicity of cycling and running, where he reveled in the freedom of the open roads and trails, with the companionship of fellow enthusiasts. Beyond his personal passions, Bill’s heart was truly captivated by his family. He brimmed with pride and affection for his nieces, nephews, and the expanding circle of great-nieces and nephews, whose events he attended with unflagging enthusiasm and support.

His strength of character was also evident in his valiant service during the Vietnam War, which spoke to his deep sense of duty and patriotism. Bill’s legacy of love, service, and courage will remain a guiding force for all those who were privileged to know him.

Services for Bill will be held at a later date with a private family gathering. In lieu of flowers donations made to aid in finale expenses or to The Meow Mission in South Bend Indiana.
