Edward Burns Jr. (Ed), 63, of Buchanan, Michigan, a beloved brother, son, uncle, and grandfather passed away at home with family by his side, on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Ed was born in south Bend, IN on February 24, 1961 to the union of Jean and Edward Burns Sr. Ed grew up in Buchanan, Michigan and spent all of his life in Buck town. Ed was a jack of all trades. He worked as an iron worker, journeyman, as well as an electrician with his Uncle Benjamin Burns.

Ed was a loving and gentle man. He had a soft heart, and helped anyone that needed his help. Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edward Burns, Sr., His sister, Patricia Burns-Thomas, his aunt, Odessa Moss, aunt, Evelyn Miles, and his nephews, Tyler Burns, and T’Yon Horston.

Ed leaves to mourn his loss, celebrate his life, and cherish his memories, his mother, Jean Burns of Buchanan, his sister, Vanessa Burns of Niles, his brother Tony Burns (Andrea), of Edwardsburg, , his sister Linda (Steve) Burns-Phillips of Buchanan, his sister Carol Burns of South Bend, IN, his sister, Priscella (Johnnie), his brother, Jay C (Mildred), his brother, James (Lisa) Burns, his brother Donald Burns, his sister Phyllis (Mark) Holmes, and sister Percinder Burns, all of Detroit, MI. His 5 children, Jerom and Jason Jankoviak, Lucas Corbet, all of Colorado Springs, CO., Devin Pressey of Buchanan, and Alexa Burns of South Bend, IN. Brothers from another mother; Darren Hency, Bill Naragon, and Moses Kyles. Last but not least, Ed leaves a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that thought he was simply Amazing!

Ed was very much loved and will be truly missed. The family of the late Edward Burns Jr., gratefully acknowledge and appreciate each act and token of kindness shown to them during their bereavement. May god bless each of you!

In honor of Ed, family would like you to join them in the church dining hall to laugh, talk, and share memories.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, 414 East Front Street, Buchanan, MI. Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 3rd at 11:00 am at Hoven Funeral Home, followed by a Service at 12:00 pm at the same location, officiated by Pastor Quincy Watts of Lively Stone Community Church, Buchanan, MI
