Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Burial will follow at Keeler Cemetery. Visitation will take place Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Caring Circle Hospice or Red Arrow General Baptist Church. Those wishing to share a memory or leave a message for the family may do so at www.duffieldpastrick.com.
Bill was born June 28, 1936 in Little River Township, Ark. to Raymond and Ruby Mae Prince. He moved to Michigan when he was 19 years old. Prior to retirement in 2002, Bill had worked at Auto Specialties for 23 years, and then at Krouse Foods for 20 years. He was a hard worker and took pride in doing his job well. He and Gloria “Fay” Hutsell were married on June 16, 1984. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time with his family and attending church. He was a strong, loving Christian man and was a long time member of Red Arrow General Baptist Church. Bill was a very social man, he could talk to anyone, never met a stranger and always had a joke to tell. He was always there for his friends and family, always being concerned more about others yet didn’t want anyone to worry about him. Bill never complained, even when it was obvious that he was in pain. He would always say “I’ll be alright.”
Bill is survived by his wife of 38 years, Fay; his children who he dearly loved, Mike (Pam) Prince of Hartford, Howard (Jaque) Prince of Colorado and Pam Muller of Hartford; his step children who he loved like his own Roylee Hutsell and Jimmy Hutsell, both of Hartford, Barb (Doug) Kelly of Benton Harbor, Kathy (Richard) Kiser of Benton Harbor, and Carin (Kenny) Smith of Coloma; his brother Eulis Prince of Arkansas; his sisters, Shirley Harrell of Wyoming, Pearl Bryant and Wanda Wilcoxon of Washington; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many special friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; step-daughter Judy Bradshaw; great grandson Ayden Ledesma; son-in-law Tom Muller; brothers Bobby, Paul, Jay and Carl Prince; and his sisters Thelma Gilliham and Buela Mae Prince.
