
Kenneth Wayne “Ken” Stanton, 60, of Bridgman, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at his home.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 3-5 pm on Tuesday, May 30, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Military honors will be rendered at 5 pm by the United States Marine Corps followed by a time of sharing. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan. Ken was born on July 18, 1962, to Donald and Patricia (Schaub) Stanton in Buchanan. He attended Lakeshore High School, graduating in 1981. Following graduation, Ken honorably served in the Marine Corps from 1982-1986. Professionally, he was a Machine Operator and Floor Supervisor at Leco for 36 years. Ken was an extremely hard-working man. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the University of Michigan Football and the Chicago Bears. Most of all, Ken cherished time spent with his family and was a proud grandpa “poppy”.
Ken is survived by his children, Justin Stanton, Nichole Stanton and their mother, Dawn Stanton; grandchildren, Cody Stanton, Rylie Catania, Adilynn Stanton, Myah Stanton, Jacob Stanton and Devan Stanton; brothers, Rev. Gregg (Linda) Stanton, Donald Stanton and fiancé, Dana Whatley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Patricia Stanton and sister, Kathy (Terry) Witcher.
