Terry D. King, 52, a lifelong resident of Dowagiac, passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, January 12, 2024, at his residence.
He was born on December 3, 1971, in Dowagiac. Terry really loved fishing, listening to music, and watching movies. He also enjoyed being very competitive playing cards and video games with friends and family. Having family in his presence was something he really cherished. His grandkids knew him as PawPaw and he wore that title very well. Everyone that met him knew how caring he was. Terry definitely left his mark on the hearts of those who loved him.
Surviving are his daughter – Audrea (Tre’Vone) Moore; three grandchildren – Johnell, Zyaire, and one on the way. Also surviving are his two sisters – Angela (Curth) Smith and Laura Byrd; niece and nephews- Jamaar (Latrese) Smith, Amber Smith, Micheal (Marquira) Vincent, Jamel Vincent, and Jeremy Vincent.
Preceding him in death were his father- Billy King; and mother- Marilyn (Dollins) King.
Honoring Terry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may join Terry’s family for a meal in remembrance of him from 2:00-5:00 PM on Friday, February 2nd, 2024 at Don Marlin Kiddie Corral Park, 1403 Barron Lake Road, Niles. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel and Cremation Services – Starks Family Funeral Homes, 405 Center St, Dowagiac.
