Samantha “Sami” Moran was born April 20, 1986 and went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2017.
In that time, she touched many lives through her kindness and selflessness and generosity. She will always be remembered for her smile, her laugh, and her sense of humor, as well as her willingness to help others in any way she could. She is also remembered for her love of the color purple, her love of Batman, her fondness for stuffed animals and her love of cats. She also had a great love of being a Mimi to her many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her loving husband of 8 years, Michael Moran, his parents, Brian and Brenda Moran, and his two brothers, Brian Moran Jr. and Kevin Moran.
She is also survived by her parents, Douglas and Katherine Thursby, siblings Kassandra (Kevin) Proffitt, Michael Losher, Douglas (Krista) Thursby II, Chesta Mesik, Peggi (Mike) Baxter, and Anthony Thursby as well as by many nieces and nephews, friends, and her two beloved cats Miss Kitty “Monser” Moran and Mandy “Bat Cat” Moran.
She was preceded in death by her sister Amanda Losher, her aunt Patty, and her loving grandmother.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 12 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremations Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Tom Bird officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in care of Michael Moran.
