Teresa Watson, 68, of Coloma, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening, Dec. 14, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at noon. Burial will follow at Coloma Cemetery.
Memorials is Teresa’s honor may be made to the Coloma Township Police Department or the North Berrien Firefighters Association.

Teresa was born September 16, 1949 in Jonesboro, Ark. to Carl and Rose Pope. Her family moved to southwest Michigan when she was a child. Teresa was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School. A few years later, she and Grady Watson were married on Sept. 6, 1969. Teresa started out as a bus drivers aid and eventually become a bus driver. Later she became a teachers aid where she worked for the Van Buren County Intermediate School District for over 25 years before retiring. Teresa enjoyed cooking and shopping in her free time, but most of her enjoyment in life came from spending moments with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Grady; her son Carl (Karey) Watson of Coloma and her daughter Crystal (Brad) Sams of Stafford, Va.; her sister Mary Cleary of Benton Harbor; and five grandchildren, Grady Watson, Meris Watson, Nikolaus Sams, Catherine Sams and Audrey Sams.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Melton Pope.
