Anne Northrop Brockway, 87, of Baroda, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman.A Celebration of Life Service will be held in May, 2018 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 2001 Niles Ave. St. Joseph, MI.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Inurnment will take place following the service at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeshore Excellence Foundation, Miss Baroda Blossom Queen Pageant or First Congregational United Church of Christ.  Those wishing to send a condolence or sign the guest book online may do so at www.stark-menchinger.com.

Anne was born on June 17, 1930 to George Milner and Florence Estelle (Newsome) Northrop in Newburgh, NY.  After graduating from High School, she attended Oakland College earning an Associate’s Degree in nursing.  Anne married David Alfred Brockway on August 27, 1949 in Newburgh, N.Y. She worked for Watervliet Community Hospital for over twenty-five years and Dr. Salvagine in St. Joseph for the remainder of her career. Anne enjoyed reading and cross-word puzzles. She and her husband, David, were very involved with the Blossomtime Fashion Show and the Miss Baroda Pageant for many years.  Most of all, Anne loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending as many of their activities as possible; including, sporting events, band concerts, recitals and plays.

Anne is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Richard) Thistle of San Marco, California, Susan (Todd) Pautz of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and Lori (DeWayne) Hellenga of Stevensville, Michigan; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a brother, Dr. G.T. Northrop of Santa Barbara, California.

Anne is preceded by her husband, David, and parents.
