In partnership with St. Joseph Today and the 14th Annual Magical Ice Fest in downtown St. Joseph, Michigan, Sunset Coast Striders is proud to bring to you the 5th annual Ice Fest 5k Chocolate Walk/Run! 100% of proceeds will benefit the Safe Shelter for Domestic Violence, one of five programs operated by Child & Family Services of Southwestern Michigan.

Safe Shelter for Domestic Violence provides a secure, violence free environment for survivors of intimate partner domestic violence and sexual assault along with their dependent children. Survivors are offered a protective, warm and violence free place to stay, listening ears, support groups, and other resources needed to develop safe, healthy and meaningful lives for themselves and their children.

Individual, group and family counseling are among the available services offered in addition to advocacy and support when needed. Assistance is offered with basic needs such as food, clothing and personal hygiene products. All services of Safe Shelter for Domestic Violence are provided at no charge and the shelter relies on grant funds and private contributions to keep the services available to residents of Berrien County.
