SWMI RACERS and Riverwood Center have partnered to co-host the Run for Hope 5K Run/Walk Sunday, October 29, 2017
Proceeds from the event will be split between Berrien County Suicide Prevention Coalition and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
Run or walk a combined course of grass, trails and streets in and around the Lake Michigan College Napier Campus, to support Suicide Prevention Awareness in Berrien County.
FEES: 15 and Over: $20 by 11:59 pm 10/15; $25 by noon 10/27; $30 Race Day. 14 and under: $15 through Race Day
Paid registrations include a short sleeve event t-shirt and refreshments at the finish line.
Upgrade to long sleeve shirt for additional $5.
No charge for participants pushed or pulled in strollers, wheelchairs, wagons, etc
Option to make donation only or purchase event shirts.

Riverwood Center has been providing mental health services and programs to residents of Berrien County since the mid-1970s. We partner with children, adults and families on their journey toward recovery by inspiring hope and providing personalized, confidential and compassionate services. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for ages 15-34 in Michigan.
An American dies by suicide every 12.3 minutes and Americans attempt suicide an estimated 1.1 million times annually according to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (www.afsp.org).
The Berrien County Suicide Prevention Coalition, an advisory committee of Riverwood Center, has noted there are around 25 suicides a year in Berrien County.
