Tried and True Classics: Early and Late Romantic
What does it mean when we refer to Romantic music? Romanticism covered a surprisingly long period in European history during the 19th and 20th centuries. This program aspires to bridge its entirety. We begin with two timeless trios from Romantic music’s earliest composers, Beethoven and Schubert. We end with a delightfully juxtaposed Neoromantic composition by celebrated Hungarian composer, Ernő Dohnányi.
