Paw Paw, MI (June 12, 2020) Due to COVID-19 we are going “VIRTUAL” for our 2nd Annual Pledge for Pearls Bucket Brigade Fundraiser!
Pledge for Pearls Bucket Brigade is your opportunity to support previously incarcerated women, our Pearls, who are seeking positive life change! This amazing event raises funds to support Wings of God Transition Home for Women which is located in Paw Paw, MI. Last year, Wings of God bucket brigade volunteers blanketed the streets of Paw Paw collecting money, but this year, in an abundance of safety due to Covid-19, we are taking this fundraiser virtual! On Friday, June 19th and Saturday, June 20th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m we invite people to Pledge for Pearls by donating into our “online” buckets! Our Staff and Pearls will also be greeting people and accepting donations in one big bucket in the driveway of the Wings of God home at 310 N Kalamazoo, Paw Paw, MI 49079.
Karina Lamorandier, Executive Director of Wings of God, “Our Pledge for Pearls fundraiser is an opportunity for people to support the Pearls at Wings of God Transition Home. Pearls are what we call our wonderful hope filled women who live at Wings of God, women who are seeking positive change in their lives. Last year was our first Pledge for Pearls Bucket Brigade and we had a tremendous response from people in the Paw Paw area. We were blown away from the generosity, and we had such amazing positive feedback for our mission! We had over 70 volunteers with their buckets and raised about $20,000. Our goal for 2020 is again $20,000.”
Wings of God Transition Home, INC. is a faith based non-profit organization established to ease the successful transition of previously incarcerated women into society. Helping to build a safer community one life at a time; our priority is to introduce eligible women to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and disciple them in the word of God. An intake committee works closely with local jails and the Michigan Department of Corrections in order to assess which candidates might successfully benefit from such a ministry. We provide a stable environment for these women from which they may gain knowledge, skills, mentoring and counseling. We ask for a minimum stay of at least one year, so upon graduation they are prepared to lead healthy, productive, spirit-filled lives. Wings of God Transition Home is located in Paw Paw, MI. serving women in Van Buren, Kalamazoo & Allegan counties since 2012.
